Odesa State Agrarian University is proud to announce the launch of ALGAE K-HUB — an international knowledge and innovation platform developed as a key output of the AlgaeRevive project (project code BSB00091), co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
The platform is now publicly available at algaehub.org and represents a significant milestone in cross-border scientific collaboration for the Black Sea region.
AlgaeRevive unites six partner institutions from five countries — Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Georgia, and Ukraine — in a shared mission: to harness the potential of algae for marine pollution reduction and to promote sustainable blue growth across the Black Sea basin. The project runs for 30 months (September 2024 – March 2027) with a total budget of over €1.47 million.
Odesa State Agrarian University plays an active role as the Ukrainian partner, contributing to research activities, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge dissemination throughout the region.
What is ALGAE K-HUB?
ALGAE K-HUB is a centralized digital space designed to connect scientists, researchers, public authorities, businesses, and civil society around topics of algae science, marine ecosystem protection, and sustainable development. The platform offers:
- Access to scientific publications, datasets, and research reports;
- A Collaboration Hub for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue;
- Tools for engaging with ongoing research initiatives in the Black Sea region.

The project is being implemented between September 3, 2024, and March 2, 2027, and has a total value of €1470899.04 of which €1329809.13 is funding provided by the European Union through the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme. As a partner, Odesa State Agrarian University partner eligible budget is €219564,00.
