Scientists of OSAU Participated in the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference on Inclusive Development of the National Economy

On April 28–29, 2026, the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Inclusive Development of the National Economy: Global Trends, Ukraine’s Opportunities, and the Role of the Agri-Food Sector, Experience and Cooperation with the EU” was held online via the ZOOM platform. The event was organized by the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP) in collaboration with leading partner universities from the USA, Poland, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and India.

The conference was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module project “EU Practices of Social and Economic Inclusion” (EPSEI), supported by the Erasmus+ Programme (101127466 – EPSEI – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).

Odesa State Agrarian University was represented at the conference with a presentation delivered within Section 3 “EU Experience and Mechanisms for Ensuring Inclusive Development of the Agri-Food Sector and Food Security”.

Yurii Boiko, PhD in Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, presented a paper titled “The Use of Chlorella vulgaris in the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine as Part of Green European Integration” (co-authored with Prof. Dr. M. Broshkov).

In her presentation, Yurii Boiko shared research findings on the effective cultivation of the microalgae Chlorella vulgaris as a promising organic fertilizer for Ukraine’s agricultural sector. These findings highlight the substantial potential of Chlorella vulgaris for advancing green crop production as part of Ukraine’s European integration process.

The research was conducted within the international project ” Harnessing Algae Power for Pollution Reduction and Blue Growth ” (BSB00091, Grant Agreement No. MDLPA 180636/02.09.2024), funded by the EU under the Interreg VI-B NEXT “Black Sea Basin” Programme — further confirming the university’s active engagement in international scientific cooperation.

The participation of OSAU researchers in such a high-level event demonstrates the university’s integration into the European scientific community and underscores the relevance of ongoing research in the fields of sustainable agriculture and green economy.

The project is being implemented between September 3, 2024, and March 2, 2027, and has a total value of €1470899.04 of which €1329809.13 is funding provided by the European Union through the (Interreg VI-B) NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme. As a partner, Odesa State Agrarian University partner eligible budget is €219564,00.
