Leadership, International Experience and Sustainable Development
From 4 to 18 July 2026, Chair of the Student Council of Odesa State Agrarian University, a student of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnology Vladyslava GLUKHENKA participated in the Erasmus+ international youth exchange “Voix à l’Horizon”, hosted by Centre de Beaumotte, France. The project brought together participants from Ukraine, France, Italy, Türkiye, Japan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Spain, and Lithuania.
Throughout the exchange, the OSAU representative led the Ukrainian team, coordinating its activities and ensuring effective communication with the organisers.
The exchange programme offered a diverse range of workshops, creative sessions, discussions, and interactive learning activities. A highlight of the programme was the collaborative creation of an international mural celebrating the harmonious relationship between people and nature.
Intercultural dialogue formed a central part of the programme. As a representative of Odesa State Agrarian University, Vladyslava GLUKHENKA introduced participants to Ukraine, the University and its student self-government initiatives. The exchange also provided valuable insights into European approaches to youth work, volunteering, and non-formal education.
As an Agronomy student, Vladyslava particularly valued the programme’s emphasis on sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and the sustainable use of natural resources. The experience provided valuable insights into European approaches to environmental education and sustainability, strengthening knowledge directly relevant to her future career.
The Erasmus+ youth exchange further strengthened the OSAU student’s leadership, communication and organisational skills while giving her valuable experience of working in an international and multicultural environment. As Chair of the Student Council, Vladyslava GLUKHENKA intends to use the knowledge and experience gained during the programme to support the work of the OSAU Student Council and encourage more students to take part in Erasmus+ opportunities.
Supporting international mobility is a strategic priority for Odesa State Agrarian University. Programmes such as Erasmus+ enable students to gain international experience, broaden their horizons, develop the confidence, professional and intercultural skills to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
