As part of the University’s ongoing internationalisation efforts, the enhancement of international cooperation, and the development of innovative research projects, representatives of Odesa State Agrarian University participated in the information event “Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Support Instruments under the “Horizon Europe” Programme”, held in Odesa on 9–10 July 2026.
Participation in this event represented an important step in strengthening the University’s capacity in grant management, improving the quality and competitiveness of project proposals, and enhancing the effective use of funding opportunities offered by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe.
The OSAU delegation included Tetiana NEBOHA, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations; Andrii MAIEV, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences; Mariia KHOLOD, Lecturer of the same department; Inna ZHUNKO, Head of the Multidisciplinary Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine; as well as academic staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Halyna SKRYPKA, Olha PIVEN, Iryna ZAPEKA, and Iryna BONDARENKO. In addition, many other members of the University community joined the event online.
During the two-day programme, participants representing higher education and research institutions, non-governmental organisations, and businesses received up-to-date information on funding opportunities, proposal preparation, project administration, financial planning, reporting procedures, and effective grant management.
Particular attention was devoted to the practical aspects of working with grant funding instruments. 
Participants explored the entire project lifecycle – from proposal development to reporting – as well as the use of European online platforms for the submission and management of project proposals.
OSAU representatives actively contributed to discussions, raising numerous questions regarding project implementation, funding opportunities, proposal evaluation criteria, and best practices in grant management. The knowledge and practical recommendations gained during the event will support the preparation of future project applications and strengthen the University’s international project activities.
Participation in such information events reflects Odesa State Agrarian University’s strategic commitment to expanding international cooperation, integrating into the European Research Area, and fostering a modern culture of project management.
