Academic mobility was implemented within the framework of cooperation between OSAU and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU, Uppsala) under the Erasmus+ programme.
From March 25 to June 8, 2025 Nadiia PILOTOVA, a student of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture completed a traineeship at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
As part of the programme, which included both theoretical and practical training, the OSAU student completed two academic courses and carried out a number of practical tasks in SLU’s modern laboratories, including cheese production and fish quality assessment. SLU laboratories are renowned for their advanced technical facilities, comfortable working conditions and openness to students at all academic levels.
In addition, the participant visited several food production enterprises, including dairy packaging plants, sausage and meat processing facilities, as well as primary animal processing plants. These visits provided an in-depth understanding of the full production cycle and practical insights into her future profession.
An important component of the traineeship was participation in presentations of scientific publications by Swedish researchers, which contributed to the improvement of English communication skills, integration into the international academic community and professional development.
Nadiia PILOTOVA’s training at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences became a significant stage in her professional formation, offering the opportunity to work alongside highly qualified specialists, gain new knowledge and practical skills and directly familiarize herself with modern production standards in the food industry.
