On May 7, 2025, Odesa State Agrarian University welcomed Daniel J. Epstein, a political scientist and researcher from Harvard University (USA). During his visit, a meeting was held with Tetiana Neboha, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations; Iryna Ishchenko, Professor of the Department of Horticulture, Viticulture, Biology and Chemistry; and Andrii Maiev, Head of the Department of International Relations.
The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation, international activities, and ways to support Ukrainian educators through global academic partnerships. The guest was introduced to the achievements and current developments at OSAU, including the history of viticulture in the Odesa region and research conducted by the university’s specialists.
Dr. Daniel Epstein presented the “Scholars without Borders” program, which aims to support Ukrainian researchers.
Special attention was given to the organization of guest lectures. In particular, an agreement was reached on an upcoming online lecture by Dr. Epstein for OSAU students and staff, with the topic to be jointly coordinated. This initiative will contribute to improving the quality of education, expanding international collaboration, and enhancing integration into the global academic community.
