On March 21, 2024 the international Webinar, titled “CPR Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Basic Life Support” was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The event was initiated by Nina Dankevych, PhD, assistant of the Department of Surgery, Obstetrics and Small Animal Diseases.
The webinar took place within the framework of the discipline “Surgical diseases of animals with anesthesiology and emergency care” and “Operative surgery with the basics of anesthesiology”.
Oleksandra Shmid, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, VECCS/ EVECCS member (Bulgaria, Varna) was the event moderator . The webinar organization and holding was made possible through cooperation of the OSAU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Trakia University (Stara Zagora, Bulgaria).
During the event, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was discussed, exactly the basic rules and procedure of resuscitation; set of actions that must be performed due to sudden cardiac arrest in animals.
56 students of Veterinary Medicine educational program and 12 teaching staff members of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine attended the webinar.
