THE UNIVERSITY EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH THE GREEK COMPANY “GREEK CHALLENGE”

On October 10, 2025 the Rector of Odesa State Agrarian University, Professor Mykhailo BROSHKOV had a meeting  with Sotiris A. BOUZEAS, General Director of the Greek company “Greek Challenge”, who presented the Roadmap for the implementation of the “Belt of Peace” project.THE UNIVERSITY EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH THE GREEK COMPANY “GREEK CHALLENGE” The project envisions the establishment of olive plantations in south of Ukraine, particularly in the Odesa region. It carries not only economic but also social significance, as it will contribute to restoring the region’s agricultural potential, creating new jobs, supporting the reintegration of combatants into peaceful life and fostering rural development.

During the meeting, Professor Mykhailo BROSHKOV confirmed the University’s interest in cooperating within the framework of the project, emphasizing the role of OSAU as a leading agricultural higher education institution in southern Ukraine. In particular, the project provides opportunities for researchers and students to undertake internships in Greece and gain experience from a country recognized as a global leader in olive oil production. The initiative will also promote new partnerships with Greek educational and research institutions, encouraging joint studies and academic mobility.

The cooperation between Odesa State Agrarian University and “Greek Challenge” opens new prospects for introducing innovations in the agricultural sector, participating in international initiatives and attracting investments aimed at the sustainable development of Ukraine’s agriculture.
