“Protecting Our Shared Future: SMS-RO-UA Odesa Project Launch”
(Project Acronym: SMS-RO-UA, Project Number: ROUA00136)
The specific objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity for researching emerging diseases in the cross-border area, ensuring effective surveillance of new diseases and preventing epidemics in the Lower Danube region. This will be achieved by enhancing the capacity of two research institutions from Romania and Ukraine, developing a joint screening and monitoring system, and implementing coordinated cross-border actions.
The event is aimed at raising awareness among researchers and the general public regarding the spread, diagnosis, prevention, and control of transboundary animal diseases, with particular focus on transmission pathways and the urgency of associated risks.
