Call for Applicants for Participation in a Study Visit

within the framework of the project “SMS-RO-UA: Development of Screening and Monitoring Systems for Emerging Diseases and Prevention of Cross-Border Epidemics in the Current Context”,  (Project No. ROUA00136), funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Romania–Ukraine 2021–2027 Programme

For students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine!

 

As part of the project “Development of Screening and Monitoring Systems for Emerging Diseases and Prevention of Cross-Border Epidemics in Current Context” (Acronym: SMS-RO-UA, Project No. ROUA00136), in which Odesa State Agrarian University is a partner, a call for applications is now open for participation in the second study visit to the project partner institution – the Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Directorate of Tulcea (Romania).

The purpose of this event is to discuss interim results, analytical methods, challenges, and conclusions in order to assess the need for methodological adjustments and to harmonize evaluation approaches, ensuring the accuracy of results. During the visit, sample analysis procedures will be presented to partners and stakeholders.

Requirements for Applicants:

  •  be enrolled in the second – cycle (Master’s)  programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine;
  • have no academic debts or unsatisfactory academic performance during their studies.

 

Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Candidates and Young Scientists of OSAU or of student scientific clubs of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, who conduct monitoring research on the spread of endemic diseases and possess basic knowledge of laboratory diagnostics.

 Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • A motivation letter (one A4 page);
  • A copy of the first page of their international passport;
  • Optional:  additional supporting documents demonstrating achievements (certificates, diplomas, awards, etc.).

All documents must be submitted in English.

The application package must be compiled into a single PDF file, arranged in the order listed above. The file name should include the university name, project

acronym and applicant’s surname, for example:

Planned study visit period: April 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed in coordination with the Romanian partner)

Application deadline: April 4, 2026

Candidates will be selected on a competitive basis.

The date of the interview (if required) will be announced separately.
