On May 19-20, 2025, Odesa State Agrarian University, represented by the project manager Bulysheva Daria, participated in the Knowledge Exchange Group Meeting of the MoreAdapt BSB00479 project, implemented within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme, co-financed by the EU.
The main objectives of the meeting were:
a) In-depth cooperation with Greek authorities and experts to align recovery strategies with local policies and initiatives.
b) Facilitating stakeholder support for pilot recovery activities on Kassandra, ensuring sustainability after the project is completed.
c) Exchange of practical research between international experts and Greek practitioners on the resilience of cities and coastal zones.
d) Presentation of the MoreAdaptBSB remote sensing assessment.
e) Planning and coordination of the next steps of the project implementation.
The Project Partner from Greece, Chamber of Chalkidiki, organized a planned event, where the most relevant issues of project implementation and environmental protection were discussed, in particular:
- Project objectives and future activities;
- Main project activities, at which Daria Bulysheva presented the achievements of the OSAU, as well as discussed the prospects for the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions on the pilot area in Ukraine;
- Climate changes, practical problems of restoration and opportunities and financing;
- MoreAdaptBSB remote assessment methodology;
- A workshop “Joint development of local restoration strategies” was held.
OSAU is grateful to the Chamber of Chalkidiki for the high-quality organization of the event.
The project is being implemented between July 26, 2024, and January 25, 2027, and has a total value of €1,594,728, of which €1,435,255.20 is funding provided by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program. As a partner, Odesa State Agrarian University receives contracted funding of 143.872,20 euros.
