On April 2, 2025 an interdepartmental scientific seminar was held as part of the new research initiative “Internship under the ERASMUS+ Program at the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” (Vukovar, Croatia)”.
The seminar, summarizing the implementation of academic mobility by OSAU students, was organized at the initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
Academic staff, employees and students of OSAU participated in the event. Additionally, employees and students of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University joined the seminar.
The main speakers were Anastasiia ZHEKIU and Kateryna YEREMEIEVA, students majoring in Management, who successfully completed their studies at the Croatian partner university (VEVU) from November 15, 2024 to February 14, 2025.
At the beginning of the event, the moderator – Tetiana MATSIIEVYCH, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management introduced the history of the Erasmus+ program, its key features and practical outcomes.
The presentation by the academic mobility participants was engaging, creative and informative. The audience learned about the town of Vukovar, the dynamic development of the local university, specifics of the educational process, conditions for participation in the program and cultural aspects of staying abroad. Furthermore, the students shared their personal experience of communicating with European peers.
The academic mobility program included studying six disciplines in English. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the students had the opportunity to apply their skills in practice. They visited the port of Vukovar, where they learned about the intricacies of ship operations and financial calculations.
The seminar concluded with a lively discussion, during which the mobility participants answered numerous questions about various aspects of studying under the Erasmus+ program.
Andrii MAIEV, Head of Department of International Relations expressed gratitude to the students for their insightful and interesting presentation. He emphasized that thanks to the leadership’s initiative, OSAU continues to expand international cooperation with foreign partners, opening new opportunities for the academic community.
Academic mobility has allowed OSAU students to explore the European education system, immerse themselves in an international academic environment, experience student life at VEVU and establish new professional and personal connections.
The successful implementation of the Erasmus+ KA1 academic mobility program has marked another step forward in the practical realization of the Interinstitutional Agreement with VEVU.
