On April 9, 2025 Odesa State Agrarian University joined an online cultural event “Pop Across Borders: Global Hits in Local Voices”, organized by the University of Science and Computer Technology (STEKOM, Indonesia). 
Partner universities from various countries were invited to participate in the event, showcasing the richness and uniqueness of their national cultures through music and creativity.
The audience was welcomed by Dr. Joseph TEGUH SANTOSO, Rector of STEKOM University, who emphasized the importance of international cultural exchange as a tool for global understanding. It was noted that culture has the ability to unite people across distances, languages and traditions.
From OSAU, the event was attended by Tetiana NEBOHA, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations and Olha ALIEKSIEIEVA, Leading Specialist of the International Relations Department. Our university had the honor of opening the concert program with the Ukrainian folk song “Beyond the forests, beyond the mountains ” performed by the vocal group “SMEREKA” (artistic director Iryna SVERDLYK).
The event became a true celebration of cultural diversity. Participants from different countries performed popular songs adapted to their own languages and musical traditions, creating a unique atmosphere of international dialogue. Attendees had the opportunity to become more familiar with various cultures, discovering new horizons in the world of intercultural communication.
This cultural exchange left not only pleasant memories but also a sense of unity through music. We are sincerely grateful to our partner – STEKOM University for the opportunity to represent Ukrainian culture and national traditions.
