LEARNSAVE PROJECT

Odesa State Agrarian University is a partner in the international project LEARNSAVE: “Learning under Attacks – Sustainable Education at Risk in Ukrainian Universities” (Project No. 01236/2023)

The project is funded by the Swedish Institute (SI) within the grant programme SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme – Special Call for Ukraine.

The aim of the project is to train academic staff to create electronic learning materials using modern licensed software and to improve selected teaching materials. Within the project, a number of innovations are planned to be introduced into the educational process, starting with the “flipped classroom” method, as well as student and staff exchanges.

 

The lead partner is the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Sweden.

LEARNSAVE PROJECTAssociate Professor of the Department of Technology of Production and Processing of Animal Husbandry Products of Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture Nataliia Kirovych and Assistant of the Department of Technology of Production and Processing of Animal Products of  Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture Svitlana Kosenko took part in a meeting of the project coordination group. LEARNSAVE PROJECTThe event was hosted by the project organizer, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). During the meeting, the project moderator defined its main objective and further strategy and presented the economic component and the project budget. Measures for further cooperation within the framework of the project were also discussed.

 

 

20–25 January 2025, Uppsala, Sweden

Professor of the Department of Technology of Production and Processing of Animal Husbandry Products of Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture Ruslan Susol and Head of the Multidisciplinary Veterinary Medicine Laboratory and Assistant of the Department of Infectious Pathology, Biosafety and Veterinary-Sanitary Inspection named after professor V. Ya. Atamas Inna Zhunko, visited the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala. During the visit Odesa State Agrarian University representatives learned more about modern teaching models, in particular the flipped classroom methodology, approaches to high-quality video production for educational purposes, opportunities for using artificial intelligence in education and visited “Studio Ultuna”. An agreement was reached on delivering guest online lectures by Ukrainian scholars for SLU students

March 25 – June 8, 2025, Uppsala (Sweden)

A student of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Biotechnology and Aquaculture Nadiia Pilotova completed her first internship at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Within the programme, which included both theoretical and practical training, the OSAU representative completed two academic courses and carried out a number of practical tasks in SLU’s modern laboratories, in particular in cheese production and fish quality assessment. As part of the academic mobility, the participant visited food industry enterprises, including dairy product packaging plants, sausage and meat production facilities, as well as primary animal processing enterprises.

26–29 November 2025, Baku, Azerbaijan

Inna Zhunko, Head of the Multidisciplinary Veterinary Medicine Laboratory and Assistant of the Department of Infectious Pathology, Biosafety and Veterinary-Sanitary Inspection named after professor V. Ya. Atamas took part in the Steering Group meeting of the international LEARNSAVE project as the OSAU project coordinator. The university representative also participated in the 4th International Conference “One Health: Problems & Solutions”, hosted by Khazar University.
