Odesa State Agrarian University, as a partner of the international project SMS-RO-UA \u201cDevelopment of Screening and Monitoring Systems for Emerging Diseases and Prevention of Cross-Border Epidemics in the Current Context\u201d, is pleased to announce the release of the seventh project newsletter.<\/p>\n

The new issue highlights key activities implemented within the framework of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and Romania under the One Health approach. The newsletter includes information about the study visit and training seminar held in Murighiol (Romania), the awareness seminar on zoonotic diseases organized in Reni, and the interactive workshop on animal health and epidemiological risks conducted in Izmail with the participation of representatives of Odesa State Agrarian University, veterinary services, local authorities, and \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0444\u0438\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0438\u0445 institutions.<\/p>\n

Special attention is given to the development of cross-border cooperation, the exchange of practical experience in the field of infectious disease monitoring, the strengthening of interinstitutional collaboration, and the preparation of a joint Action Plan aimed at responding to epizootic risks in the Lower Danube region.<\/p>\n

The newsletter also announces the inclusion of the SMS-RO-UA project in the \u201cProject Stories\u201d section of the Interreg NEXT Romania\u2013Ukraine Programme website as an example of successful partnership in the fields of public health and veterinary safety.<\/p>\n

The project is implemented in partnership between Youth Public Organization \u201cNew European Generation\u201d, Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Directorate of Tulcea County (Romania) and\u00a0 Odesa State Agrarian University, and the within the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania\u2013Ukraine 2021\u20132027 Programme funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n

The project is being implemented between June 4, 2025, and December 3, 2026, and has a total value of \u20ac 418.063,41, of which \u20ac 376.257,06 is funding provided by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine Programme 2021- 2027. As a partner, total Odesa State Agrarian University eligible budget is \u20ac 144.748,80.<\/p>\n
