On April 22, 2026, a representative international scientific and practical conference titled \u201cQuality of Education in the Context of European Integration: Values, Innovations, and International Cooperation\u201d was held in a hybrid format, bringing together leading scholars from higher education institutions in Ukraine as well as participants from Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, and Georgia.<\/p>\n
An important part of the event was the presentation by the OSAU project team (Daria Bulysheva, Andrii Maiev) of the results of the international project \u201cLess vulnerability, more adaptability \u2013 pilot remote sensing assisted restoration of green spaces in coastal and urban areas within the Black sea region\u201d (MoreAdaptBSB), implemented within the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme. The team presented a report titled: \u201cInternational University Cooperation as a Basis for Sustainable Development: Experience of Participation in the MoreAdaptBSB Project on Climate Vulnerability Assessment of Coastal Ecosystems.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The presentation highlighted the key results of the project, including the development of a comprehensive geospatial dataset, the application of methodological approaches to assessing climate vulnerability, and the results of field research conducted in the Odesa region.<\/p>\n Special attention was given to field validation, which covered 150 monitoring points, as well as the use of international approaches based on assessing exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. The importance of international cooperation for harmonizing scientific methodologies, strengthening institutional capacity, and integrating Ukrainian research into the broader European scientific space was emphasized.<\/p>\n The active discussion demonstrated strong interest among participants, particularly in the practical application of climate vulnerability assessment tools and the future development of the project. The conference served as an effective platform for establishing new scientific connections and expanding international professional cooperation, highlighting the significance of the MoreAdaptBSB project results at the international level.<\/p>\n The project is being implemented between July 26, 2024, and January 25, 2027, and has a total value of \u20ac1,594,728, of which \u20ac1,435,255.20 is funding provided by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
