The consortium\u2019s goal is to implement priority tasks for the sustainable development of the marine sector, strengthen Ukraine\u2019s scientific potential in the field of the blue economy, and promote integration into the broader European research area.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative was developed in the context of the United Nations General Assembly\u2019s proclamation of the \u201cUN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021\u20132030)\u201d (Resolution A\/RES\/72\/73).<\/p>\n<p>The Ukrainian Blue Economy Consortium envisions active cooperation with leading European marine research infrastructures, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 EMSO (European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and Water Column Observatory)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 JERICO-RI (Joint European Research Infrastructure of Coastal Observatories)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 and other international scientific platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The signatories of the Memorandum include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>State Institution \u201cInstitute of Market and Economic and Environmental Research of the NAS of Ukraine\u201d<\/li>\n<li>National University \u201cOdesa Maritime Academy\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Odesa National Maritime University<\/li>\n<li>Kherson State Maritime Academy<\/li>\n<li>Odesa State Agrarian University<\/li>\n<li>State Institution \u201cInstitute of Marine Biology of the NAS of Ukraine\u201d<\/li>\n<li>State Research Institution \u201cUkrainian Scientific Center of Ecology of the Sea\u201d of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine<\/li>\n<li>State Non-profit Enterprise \u201cUkrainian Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Resort Therapy of the Ministry of \u041dealth of Ukraine\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Odesa National Economic University<\/li>\n<li>Odesa National Technological University<\/li>\n<li>Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This step represents a significant contribution to the development of a national strategy for the sustainable management of marine resources and the formation of a strong research community capable of effectively addressing the challenges of climate change, marine ecosystem degradation, and the growing demands of the economy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-32296 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1.jpg\" alt=\"Odesa State Agrarian University Joins the National Blue Economy Research Consortium of the Ukrainian Black Sea Region\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1.jpg 960w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-24x18.jpg 24w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-36x27.jpg 36w, https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/news050625-1-48x36.jpg 48w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 960px;
