{"id":34205,"date":"2025-09-23T15:42:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T13:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/?page_id=34205"},"modified":"2026-08-18T20:11:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T18:11:15","slug":"proyekt-sms-ro-ua","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/en\/pro-universytet\/naukova-robota\/mizhnarodni-naukovi-proekty\/proyekt-sms-ro-ua\/","title":{"rendered":"SMS-RO-UA PROJECT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Odesa State Agrarian University is a partner of the international project <strong>\u201cSMS-RO-UA: Development of Screening and Monitoring Systems for Emerging Diseases and Prevention of Cross-Border Epidemics in the Current Context\u201d<\/strong>, ROUA00136.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/osau.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Prezentatsiya-proyektu-ROUA00136.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Presentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The project is co-financed by the EU under the <strong>Interreg NEXT Romania\u2013Ukraine 2021\u20132027<\/strong> programme and is aimed at addressing cross-border disease issues in the Lower Danube region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing the capacity to research emerging diseases in the cross-border region.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring effective disease surveillance and epidemic prevention.<\/li>\n<li>Reducing risks to human health, the environment and biodiversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Special attention is given to African swine fever, West Nile virus, avian influenza, leptospirosis \u00a0and toxoplasmosis through a joint analysis of cross-border diseases.<\/p>\n<h3>Project consortium<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lead partner:<\/strong> Youth public organization &#8220;New European Generation&#8221; The event was aimed at raising awareness among researchers and the general public about the spread, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of transboundary animal diseases, with particular attention to transmission routes, associated risks and the sense of urgency they entail. Participants explored the university\u2019s modernized laboratory facilities, advanced laboratory equipment, and diagnostic methods for infectious diseases.
