Odesa State Agrarian University is an educational institution of IV accreditation level, subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, established on the basis of Odessa Agricultural Institute, which was founded in 1918. Having begun training of personnel for agriculture on three departments – plant growing, public agronomy and animal husbandry, at the end of 30-s of the 20-th century it had agronomic, viticulture, zootechnical, veterinary and land management faculties, maintained close business relations with many agricultural enterprises, educational and research institutions of our country. Nowadays, the university is a leading educational, methodological and scientific center for training highly qualified personnel for various branches of agricultural production in the southwestern Black Sea region. The University has an International Training Centre for Foreign Citizens, a training courses for admission to higher education.
